The Vacation's Over

Hi everybody!

I hope you all had a good Christmas day and will continue to have a good Christmas season. Anyway, now that the vacation's over (okay, not quite) I thought I'd give you the readings for the next couple of weeks.

REMEMBER: YES! is NOT meeting on January 3rd!!

January 10th: Jn 1:29-34
January 17th: No YES!
January 24th:Mt 5:1-12a (the last words are "for your reward will be great in heaven")

Merry Christmas!

ONLY 10 DAYS 'TILL CHRISTMAS!!!

Hello guys,

Since Christmas is coming, we'll be taking the following weeks off:
  • December 27th
  • January 3rd
FYI:
Before each meeting, we watch a little bit of a movie. Right now, it's Hercules - the Disney version. I'll be taking suggestions at the next few meetings.

Happy Advent,
Cathy

Prayer Miniversity

Hello again!

I'm beginning to think I'm talking to myself, but there are worse things, I guess. So, what do you all think of a prayer miniversity? OLBH put one on last year. There are different "stations" where you learn about different types of prayer. Lection divina - what YES! is - was one of the options, along with the meditation, centering, and the Rosary. We wouldn't have to do the same ones.

Okay, enough for now!

Godspeed to ya,
Cathy

FYI (Acronyms are Cool!)

Hi guys!

Since I created this blog to inform you about YES, I figured I'd better start informing.

The readings for the Third (12th) and Fourth (19th) Sundays of Advent are:
  • Mt. 11:2-11
  • Mt. 1:18-24
These are the readings we'll be discussing on the 6th and the 13th, respectively.

DON'T FORGET: You can vote for your favorite YES! poster by posting comments.

Happy Advent,
Cathy

Your challenge...if you choose to accept it...

How's everyone's challenge going? I hate to disappoint everybody, but I won't be able to make it to the meeting next Monday (6th). Never fear! I am not the only person at OLBH capable of leading YES! So, alas, though I will not be there, YES! will go on.

God Bless all you guys,
Cathy
