Powering up the Sound System

1. Turn on wall switches by organ (check that both green and amber lights are illuminated on wireless receiver (green indicates unit is powered up and solid amber indicates receiver has detected a carrier signal)
2. Unlock cabinet for sound system
3. Check that all volume controls on amplifier are fully counter-clockwise
4. Turn on Power Strip behind amplifier cabinet
5. Set volume controls as follows:
   1. White (wireless mic) to 4
   2. Blue (pulpit) to 5
   3. Blank (2nd wireless mic) to 3, if used, otherwise to 0
   4. MASTER to between 7 & 8
6. Ensure Tape Unit is powered up

NOTE: If loud popping and static noises occur in sound system, it is because wireless mic is too far away from the receiver. In this case, turn down the wireless mic volume control (white) until Fr. Mark is positioned at rear of sanctuary at start of Mass. You would normally not be concerned with this unless there are no musicians for the Mass.
